I'm guessing that Will wrote Mama Margaret and told her that she was going to be a grandmother, whereupon Mama Margaret wrote to Margaret, and Margaret responded immediately with this postcard. But I don't have the letters from Will and from Mama Margaret, so I can't be sure.

Dear Mother:
You can imagine my happiness, I am waiting for Will’s train, here at Oakland. He has had a very hard trip.
Said he would be disguised as a tramp.
Your dear letter came yesterday. I read it over so many times. Much love to [???illegible???].
