I have had another load of cinders and have been covering the water pipe. I needed you to help me - I have been doing it all myself and it is not yet finished. I have transplanted some iris and cleared out a great deal of ivy from the center of the lot. I picked some more blackberries Saturday and also trimmed the blackberries.

Wikipedia says
A total solar eclipse occurred on September 10, 1923.
…so this postcard must be from 1923.
3.
Kathleen helped her little daughter Kay send a postcard with the same view, probably in the same year that Alma sent this one.
