Lyle Dennet Woodruff. He was mentioned by Eva, who was visiting during Alma's graduation, in a letter home to Mama Margaret: "The nicest compliment I got was from a man. Mr. Woodruff who goes with Sara told her that he thought I was fine looking and had such pretty eyes." Mr. Woodruff was from Ashtabula County, where Sara Grant Laird was from. A couple of years (almost) later, Eva may have developed a crush on him. Alma referred to some sad tale in a letter to Will on 1/17/1906.

Who's who on the women's basketball team? I think Alma is second from the left in the back row, and I think Clara Jones is in the middle of the front row, holding the ball, as is appropriate for the captain of the team, but I'm not really sure. And I don't know which of the others are Sara Grant Laird and Eunice Miller.
