MRS. ANN FARMER PASSES AWAY HERE
Savannah Woman Dies at Residence of Daughter, Mrs. W.P. Stokey
Mrs. Ann Farmer, prominent member of the Christian Science church and for 26 years a resident of Savannah, died early yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. P. Stokey, 624 Rockmont Drive, N.E.
Mrs. Farmer was 86 years of age, and had been in failing health for some time. She was the wife of the late William James Farmer, prominent in the international naval stores business.
The late Mr. Farmer was connected with an English firm prior to establishing himself in Savannah as American representative of the company. Mrs. Farmer was a native of England.
She was active in the affairs of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Savannah. She had lived here since last September.
Besides Mrs. Stokey, who is the wife of Colonel Stokey, she is survived by a son, A. Cecil Farmer, of Pittsburgh; a brother, Andrew Gray, of London; four grandchildren, all of Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews, of London.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by H. M. Patterson & Son.

1.
She had lived here since last September.
Kathleen's sister Ruth had lived with Annie in Savannah, but Ruth died In July of 1935, and apparently Annie could no longer live alone (and very likely didn't want to), so she was moved to Atlanta two months later. What an upheaval that must have been!
And now Kathleen is the only member of the Farmer family left in Georgia.
2.
Besides Mrs. Stokey, who is the wife of Colonel Stokey, she is survived by a son, A. Cecil Farmer, of Pittsburgh; a brother, Andrew Gray, of London; four grandchildren, all of Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews, of London.
Cecil's wife Jessie was not mentioned because she was not a blood relative.
"Four grandchildren" - Maggie is included. She was not a blood relative, but that slipped people's minds.
It's nice that Annie's brother, Andrew Gray, is mentioned. His wife Jennie was still alive as of August 1935, but she was not mentioned because she was not a blood relative.
3.
Annie died exactly a week after Fred and Sibyl's daughter Alma Grace was born. I wish I could find some document somewhere that mention's AG's birth.
