Mrs. William P. Stokey, wife of a retired colonel in the United States Army, died at a private hospital here yesterday. She lived at 624 Rockmont drive, N.E.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Miss Margaret and Miss Katherine Stokey; two sons, William P. and Roger Stokey, and a brother, Cecil Farmer, of Sharon, Pa.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by H. M. Patterson & Son.
1. Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Miss Margaret and Miss Katherine Stokey; two sons, William P. and Roger Stokey, and a brother, Cecil Farmer, of Sharon, Pa.
They got Kay's name wrong (it should be Kathleen, not Katherine) and Bill's name wrong (it should be William F., not William P.).
When did Cecil move from Wilkinsburg to Sharon? After his wife Jessie died in 1938, maybe? (Need to take another look at Jessie's death notice.)
2. Not that it matters, but Kay's birthday, December 13, fell on a Friday in this year, as it did when she was born, in 1918.
