Getting ready for the wedding! But Fred's still interested in talking about medical matters.
And again...If any can give me an exact definition of "kesinga", I would be grateful. I looked for it in an Umbundu-English dictionary, but couldn't find it, and of course Google Translate doesn't have Umbundu. After all, only 6 million Angolans speak it.

My darling Byl:
We got home at 5:10 and I went kesinga for supper - my motorcycle was over there. I had a letter from Alma which should be enclosed with this. You will be glad to hear that she enjoyed your letter and would like more. There was also a four page letter from Miss J. which I have not read. I handed it to Mary to read first and to pass back if it is fit for me to read at this time.
I went over to talk to Dart about the mountain near Bailundo, Elumbe. It is near the Vila Nova Road and 15 kilometers from the Bailundo station. Dart + family have camped there several times. There is good water - mountain streams + the view from the top must be something like Sachikela. You can see Huambo Chunguas [???] Mt., the Chilesso Mountains +c.
It seems from his description like an ideal spot. I will send word to Ernesto to meet me in Bailundo next Sunday to see the place and prepare for us. There is game about there and plenty of fruit to be had at Bailundo or Kaputu [???].
Tuesday night: I have just written a 6-page letter to Alma, a letter to Mr. Childs and one to Ernesto. This afternoon Mary and Amelia were here getting the house ready for you. They will be here again tomorrow morning.
Mary said I need not read Miss J’s letter until after the honeymoon. She said that would be soon enough. Mary said she did not seem so sure of herself as in the other letters. Mary is some little shock absorber. I should read it before Annual Meeting and the conference with Dr. Endicott.
I am getting quite eager for the day to go to Chissamba. I hope you will be feeling fine by this time. I am so glad that you told me about your backache last Monday. I will have to keep track of the length of your limbs.
Wednesday night (or early Thursday) I have just returned from kesinga where I attended Susati confinement. She was much worried because she expected the baby in March and she was uncomfortable. I examined her before going to Bailundo last week and a good sized child but normal presentation +c. They wanted me to be on hand when the case came off so I gave her oil and quinine this afternoon. I had supper kesinga and visited Miss Dibble then went up to see the prospects. Mrs. Prior + Miss Clark went too. Susati had had one bowel movement and no pains. However I found the head engaged - it had been floating yesterday. Mrs. P. and Miss Clark went back to the house to see Mr. Prior and they decided to await developments. They came back in about half an hour to find the baby born +c. I was surprised at the speed she showed. It was less than half an hour from the first pain she felt.
We have had a busy day housecleaning. The Bedroom, Clujango [???] and Dining room are cleaner than they have ever been. I am living in the “guest room” and am almost a stranger.
Mrs. Dart called me to see Buster so I took out time for a visit there. He was restless and his temperature 96. He has had fever and has been taking quinine this week in more than his usual does. I gave them some tanvati [???] and they made fudge to make it go easily.
This will be a short note but there is a lot of love going with it. I expect to write but once more before coming to get you. That will save a lot of trips to the post office. Your boy will miss the extra weight in the bag, and the urgency of the young lady who sends him to Catabola.
I will pack plenty of blankets for the camp trip and have plenty of wood for the fire. You may have to snuggle up to a hot water bottle so I will provide some.

Given the slowness of the mail between Angola and South Hadley, I figure the letter Alma was talking about was:

Miss J was from the Mission Board in Canada. This letter was probably.
