Mama Margaret wrote to Will on June 24: "Alma and Eva have been bathing and they say it is fine. They have not been out rowing yet, the man has not had time to get the boat out." I guess the old man finally found time.

January 26, 1948, in Cambridge, Massachusetts: Laura, Eva, Fred, and Alma. My guess is that this pictures was taken at the Continental Hotel, where the reception was held. I think it is not surprising that Eva's heels are the highest.
