L.A., Nov. 17, 1910.
Dear Fred,
We were very much delighted to get your letter. I think I did better on sending pictures than you did. You might make up for it now. I made this picture of mother for Margaret and she said to send it to you. She had a picture of one of the hims in a beautiful silver frame. The other day she took it out and instead of putting in mine put in mother’s. Isn’t that the limit?
Do you ever do any Kodak work any more? How is the medical work coming along in the new place.

I love this picture of Mama Margaret, obviously taken by Will and stuck to a blank postcard. I don't know where it was taken. Maybe it was in Truro in the summer of 1909? But I think that there might be a piano to the left of the fireplace, and would there be a piano in a summer cottage like that? Anyway, it looks as though Will made a joke (as Will was wont to do) and Mama Margaret was trying not to laugh. Will was such a good photographer of people.
I got my brother-in-law Ron to de-spot the picture for me, and the result is in the picture sections.

Will's fiancée Margaret, an orphan who has been alone in the world, loves being part of a family.
