The seventh annual meeting of the Canton district Woman's Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal church, in Salem Friday, was a decided success. Quite a number attended from Canton, some taking part in the program.
The Cantonites who participated in the program are: Miss Laura Stokey, who led devotional exercises; Miss Emily Ritterspaugh, corresponding secretary and treasurer's reports; Mrs. Alice N. Chance, paper on "The twentieth century and home missions;" Miss Mary Dillon, on "Our circle," and Mrs. L. N. Church and Mrs. Mary Houser, on "Our auxiliary."
