For Roger after you read it.

Dear K.   Thanks ever so for s.d. letter came this a.m.  I shall go to the Martha Washington Hotel + tidy up + then go + call.  We were downtown to lunch, J + I, went to a movie + looked at shops, now home.  Cecil is taking us + Miss Taylor to the Shenley Hotel to dinner tonight.  I leave at 9.30 + will write you tomorrow from N. York.  I felt homesick yesterday for you all.

​This is one of five postcards that Ruth sent to the four little Stokeys all at once when she was visiting her and Kathleen’s brother Cecil Farmer.  Apparently she wrote four of them out on September 6 but couldn’t mail them out until the 7th, and for some reason that impelled to her to write an extra one to Billy on the 7th.  Maybe she had made him a promise of some sort?  And since Roger was only 19 months old, his postcard was addressed to Kathleen, with a note that once Kathleen had read it, it was to go to Roger.

Schenley Park - Wikipedia says:

Schenley Park (/ˈʃɛnli/) is a large municipal park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is located between the neighborhoods of Oakland, Greenfield, and Squirrel Hill. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district. In 2011, the park was named one of "America's Coolest City Parks" by Travel + Leisure.

"s.d. letter" - what does that mean?  Probably related to “I shall go to the Martha Washington Hotel + tidy up + then go + call.”  Maybe a Christian Scientist thing?
