Fred has died, five and a half years after Will's death. Now, of the Five Stokey Siblings, only the Three Stokey Sisters are left - Alma, Laura, and Eva.

This notice in a California newspaper is the only death notice that I found for Fred on newspapers.com, even though Fred died in Massachusetts. There must have been some initial notice in Massachusetts that was picked up by United Press, but it apparently was not in the Holyoke Transcript-Telegram. Alma and AG were in Europe, so Edie (the wife of Will's younger son Roger) would have been handling this. Perhaps she left it to the funeral home to take care of it, and they placed the notice in a newspaper other than the Holyoke Transcript-Telegram.
Come to think of it, many years ago AG mentioned coming across a newspaper clipping among her belongings. She looked and saw an item about something in the town in eastern Massachusetts where she was then living, and was surprised that she had kept it. Then she turned it over and realized that what she had kept was an obituary for her father. Maybe it was in The Boston Globe? Since AG was in England when her father died, perhaps Edie kept that clipping for her. I haven't yet finished going through the stuff that I got from AG, so I may yet find it.
It seems strange to see Fred listed as a Spanish-American war veteran when he never left the ship in Havana harbor back in 1898. I imagine it was the military service in a long-ago war that made him seem worth listing in a California newspaper, but I don't know.

Alma was on her round-the-world trip with Gladys when Fred died. Fred's daughter AG was with them for the European part of the trip. While on the trip Alma asked to have her will sent to her, and I wonder if it was so she could update it due to Fred's death:
