Alma is seeing more of India in the summer vacation, in between her two academic years there.

Sonamarg, Kashmir, May 25 '30.
This shows the way the Kashmiri women dress. Do you see the silver ear-rings. They wear as many rings as their ears can carry and then they wear all they can afford on a band which goes over the head. They always have the head covered with a shawl or scarf which hangs down the back. Many of the women are very beautiful. The little girls are dears; they dress exactly like the women.
