This letter from Sibyl to Fred is dated March 15, 1927. Fred very clearly answered it (see the notes below), but his answering letter was also dated March 15, 1927. I think they were both in Dondi.

Mar. 15/27.
Dear Dr. Stokey:-
Was glad to see you back again. I have some things here, which I brought from Galangue for you, and Mr. McDowell brought up your steam cooker filled with things which he has kesinga.
Say doctor yesterday they took me down to see a Chissamba boy, that is sick. His name is Julio. I had already heard that you would arrive in the afternoon so I left no suggestions at all. They say he has been sick for five weeks and the trouble began with an infected finger. Would you please see him.
I was disappointed that I didn't have more opportunity to hear all about Esther and your visit down there. Did you go hunting or swimming, etc etc?
I have a picture to show you of someone you were very anxious to see. A blond with eye-lashes that rest on the bloom of her cheek.
So long,
Sibyl Hosking

1.
I have some things here, which I brought from Galangue for you, and Mr. McDowell brought up your steam cooker filled with things which he has kesinga.
There's a Non-Family page for Mr. MacDowell.
And here's a use of the word "kesinga" that I haven't seen Fred using, but, as with Fred's usage, there seems to be an idea of gathering together.
2.
I was disappointed that I didn't have more opportunity to hear all about Esther and your visit down there. Did you go hunting or swimming, etc etc?
Esther must be Esther McAllester.
Fred answered this in his March 15 letter:
1927-03-15 LETTER FROM FRED TO SIBYL
I went hunting several times but the game is scarcer than when you were there.
3.
I have a picture to show you of someone you were very anxious to see. A blond with eye-lashes that rest on the bloom of her cheek.
I don't know who the blond is, but Fred answered in his March 15 letter with:
I will be glad to see the portrait of the anatomical freak, tho the fact that she is blonde does not move me.
