Ruth is heading home to Savannah after her summer travelling around Europe. Apparently her last stop was in England, where she was visiting Farmer relatives, and spreading Christian Science love and light. Fred and Sibyl aren't the only ones with missionary zeal!
This is being sent in the hope that it may reach you on board, in time to bring loving thoughts for your journey.
I cannot tell you what knowing you means to me, and I just wish to thank you for all you have given me - I seem to have been receiving all the time. All you said about Class Instruction has left the impression that if humanly possible I shd go thro' class with a Teacher taught by Mrs. Eddy herself.
Please give my best love to my little uncle, and tell him I'm still grateful for that "cup of cold water." How lovely to see him next year!
Have you all Mrs. Eddy's works, and have you that book "The Mother Church"?
1. Helen is a first cousin of Kathleen and Ruth - see the Farmers & Grays section for details.
2. 12/9/30 This is European style, so it's September 12, not December 9.
3. I shd go thro' class with a Teacher taught by Mrs. Eddy herself. Mrs. Eddy was Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science.
4. Please give my best love to my little uncle, and tell him I'm still grateful for that "cup of cold water." How lovely to see him next year! The little uncle must be WJ Farmer, Ruth's and Kathleen's father, who apparently is planning another trip to England.
5. My love to Auntie too please. This must be Ruth's and Kathleen's mother, Annie.
5. The Palestine Trip is an inspiration! What's this about a Palestine trip?
