Cecil's wife Jessie has died, and here I am, ghoulishly trying to extract every bit of information that I can from her death notice.

1.
At Boston, Mass.
Why was Jessie in Boston? She was a Christian Science practitioner, so I wonder if the purpose of the trip was to visit the Mother Church in Boston, and if so, was she visiting as a practitioner, or was she hoping for Christian Science help with whatever it was that caused her death? Boston also has lots of hospitals, of course, but I doubt that Jessie was availing herself of any of them.
The great hurricane of 1938 hit Massachusetts on September 21, 1938, ten days before Jessie died. I wonder if she was already in Boston on that day.

wife of A. C. Farmer, of Ruskin Apartments, Pittsburgh.
At some point, then, Cecil and Jessie moved from Wilkinsburg to Pittsburgh. It's wouldn't have been a move of any great distance, but I wonder when and why they did it.

It sounds as though there are no visiting hours. If the body arrives in Pittsburgh from Boston (by train, I assume) on Monday morning, is it that H. Samson the undertaker wants a little time to get it in order? Or was Tuesday afternoon the first opening that H. Samson had?
I imagine that this would have given Kathleen time to get to the funeral, but I don't know. The Atlanta family did know about Jessie's death - see:
