Dr. Fred E. Stokey, of Boston, Mass., is the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Woodside at their home on Lake Gatlin. Dr. Stokey expects to leave very soon for points in Africa as a medical missionary.
1. The American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions wrote to Fred on June 14 to tell him that he was approved to return to Africa as a medical missionary.
2. Fred is staying with the parents of his late wife Mabel. This newspaper item lists them as Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Woodside. I thought Mabel's father's name was Thomas W. Woodside, so I don't know who has it wrong, the newspaper or me. Conceivably another Woodside owned the house, but I don't think so.
