- April 3 (Good Friday): Eva Christine Stokey is born at 2:30 pm, at 140 West 8th Street, Canton, Ohio. Papa Charles reports: "Snow falling in large flakes."
- June: Eva graduates from high school
- August/September: Mama Margaret, Alma, Fred, and Eva move from Canton to Oberlin, Ohio.
- Fall: Eva starts studying at Oberlin Conservatory
- Eva moves to New York City for further music study.
- Spring: Eva meets and becomes engaged to Frank Evans.
- October: Frank and Eva are married.
- Spring: Marital troubles for Frank and Eva.
- Fall: Eva gets a job teaching music in Philadelphia and moves there, away from Frank.
- Eva converts to Christian Science. (Year approximate.)
- Summer: It may be that Eva was in Woods Hole with Alma, Mama Margaret, and little Margaret.
- Summer: Eva goes to Savannah to keep house for Will and little Margaret while Alma and Mama Margaret go out west for the summer. Eva points Will in the direction of the Farmer sisters, and also learns to drive Will's new car.
- Eva divorces Frank Evans.
- Summer: Eva attends a Summer Singing School in Brookfield, Connecticut, as a student.
- Christmas: Mama Margaret and Alma were planning to spend at least some of Christmas vacation in Philadelphia with Eva.
- September: Eva, Alma, and Fred visit the site of the future Fernbank in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
- Summer: Eva is not in Woods Hole, but where is she? At the Summer Singing School in Brookfield, Connecticut maybe?
- Christmas: it looks as though Mama Margaret and Alma spent Christmas in Philadelphia with Eva.
- May: Mama Margaret dies in Cincinnati and is buried in Canton. I assume Eva was at the funeral, although I have nothing telling me she did.
- Summer: Eva is at Fernbank. Also there are Alma, Kathleen, Maggie, Billy, Kay, and Roger.
- Christmas: Alma spends Christmas in Philadelphia with Eva.
- April: Eva and Alma visit Atlantic City with their friends Mabel and Lil.
- Summer: Eva and Alma go to Europe, especially Rome.
- Christmas: Eva is probably in Philadelphia, with Alma visiting. Not certain.
- Summer: Eva is at Fernbank with Alma. Kathleen and the kids are there in the last half of the summer.
- Summer: Eva is in Woods Hole. Alma and Eva attend Geoffroy and Lenette Atkinson's wedding in South Carver on June 19.
- Summer (August): Eva is in Woods Hole.
- Summer: Eva is in Philadelphia, apparently, supervising the renting out of Fernbank while Alma is in India.
- Summer (June): Eva is in Woods Hole.
- Fall sometime: Eva apparently visits Alma in South Hadley.
- June 23: Eva arrives at Fernbank for the summer. She probably was on Alma's and Fredda's late June day-trip to Provincetown, and definitely went on a July 31 day-trip to Nantucket with Ethel Jackson and Alma.
- Alma spends Christmas in Philadelphia - with Eva, presumably.
- Eva is in Woods Hole, learning to drive Alma's car.
- Summer: Eva goes to Woods Hole on June 22, and then Alma and Eva drive out to visit friends and relatives in the Pittsburgh area and in Ohio. Laura apparently goes to meet them in the Pittsburgh area.
- Summer: Eva spends a few days in South Hadley in August. (Alma has left for India.) Eva then goes to Woods Hole on August 14. On September 3, she starts back for Philadelphia. Kay stays with her for a few days.
- December 14: Will's wife Kathleen dies. Eva leaves Philadelphia and goes to Atlanta to keep house for Will. I don't know if this is in December or January.
- Eva and Will go up to Fernbank in early August, with a stop in New York on the way. In September, Eva visits the Meyers in Ogunquit, Maine, and then, in a separate trip, visits friends in New York and Philadelphia. Eva and Will go back to Atlanta on October 14.
- Summer at Fernbank.

- January: Will's younger daughter Kathleen is married in Cambridge. Fred, Alma, Laura, and Eva attend.
- December: Will dies. Eva stays on in Atlanta, moving to an apartment at some point, driving up to Woods Hole for the summer.
- Alma visits Eva in Atlanta in the spring. In May, Eva drives up to Woods Hole for the summer, stopping off at the Bach Festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

- (Year also approximate.) Alma breaks her hip. Fernbank becomes a lonelier place to be.
- Summer: Eva breaks her hip at Fernbank. (I think it must have been 1969. Not completely sure.) After treatment, she ends up in the Royal Meganset nursing home on Cape Cod.
- April 1: Eva dies.
