Spent childhood in Atlanta, Ga. Graduate of Radcliffe College. Received Master's degree from Graduate School of Journalisma, Columbia University.
Worked for Scripps - Howard Newspapers in New York City, then on Capitol Hill as a member of the Washington (D.C.) bureau of The Associated Press. Served as women's editor of the Evening Bulletin, Providence, R.I., before moving to Oregon with her husband. Became women's editor of the Register-Guard in January 1955. Has won first place state and national awards for best interviews and vest women's pages in contests of Oregon Press Women and National Federation of Press Women. She is the wife of Ernest Lundeen, Eugene attorney. They have three children: Ellen, 13 1/2, Kathy, 12; and Nancy, 9 1/2. Her latest hobby is mountain climbing and she has made five summit climbs in the past 2 1/2 months. She also is a ballet fan, likes classical music and is planning a bicycle trip to Mexico. At present is helping produce three-reel movie on mountain climbing starring Eugene's own Cliff Hanger. |
