I'm surprised that Eva came to visit Alma and Fred in South Hadley rather than in Woods Hole, but I know nothing about the reason for the visit.

Mrs. Eva Stokey Evans of Atlanta, Ga., returned to her home today atfer a visit at Faculty House with her brother, Dr. Fred Stokey, and her sister, Miss Alma Stokey.

I suppose it would have been just wrong for the society page to recognize Alma's doctorate.  This was the Fifties, after all.
