Will and Eva head up to Fernbank for the summer.  I assume they took the train, since gas was rationed in World War II.

Col. William P. Stokey and his sister, Mrs. T.S. Evans, left Wednesday for their summer home in Woods Hole, Mass.  They will return to Atlanta next October.

They got Eva's initials wrong.  Somebody heard "TS" instead of "ES" over the phone, I guess.

The item makes it all sound very grand: "their summer home in Woods Hole, Mass."   Not "their sister's prefab cottage that got totally flooded for the second time last September in the latest hurricane."
