Alma's reminiscences of India are now nine years old. Perhaps, given the fierce fighting in Burma, anything remotely in the vicinity of Burma would be of interest to the Mothers' Research club. Or maybe everybody just knew that Alma gave enjoyable talks.

SOCIAL AND PERSONAL
The Mothers' Research club will hold its last regular meeting of the season Thursday afternoon, April 5, at 2, at Park Congregational church. Mrs. F. H. C. Graves, president, will conduct a short business session, following which Dr Alma Stokey, for many years head of the botany department at Mount Holyoke college and now professor-emeritus, will speak on "Reminiscences of India." Hostesses will be Mrs E. L. Wood, Mrs C. E. Davis, Mrs A. B. Rockwood, Mrs W. C. Short, Mrs E. F. Bliss, Mrs Louise Barstow and Mrs G. W. Ely. Following the program a social hour will be held under the direction of Mrs Leonard W. Knight and Mrs W. F. Schrader. The annual luncheon and meeting will take place April 26, place to be announced.
