It's always nice to pin Alma down in one place. It wasn't necessary for me to include the whole article, but I enjoy seeing what all these people were doing, and if you don't, you can move on to the next document.

1.
Dr. Alice Farnsworth, chairman of the department, returns to campus this fall after her year's sabbatical. She spent the summer at the McDonald Obervatory of the University of Texas, working on the sky she obtained in South America.
What? Chairman of what department? And can you really get a piece of the sky for your very own in South America?
2.
Dr. Charlotte Haywood did research this summer at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole.
It seems to me I've seen Dr. Charlotte Haywood's name elsewhere, but I can't remember where.
3.
Dr. Alma A. Stokey did research this summer at Woods Hole.
Wrong middle initial. It should be G.
4.
Dr. Fredda Reed and Dr. Ethel Eltinge did research in South Hadley.
There's a Non-Family page for Fredda in this website. And I'm sure she visited Alma at Fernbank sometime during the summer.
5.
Dr. Ellen D. Ellis spent the summer in South Hadley, working on a study of certain parts of the Covenant of the League of Nations in preparation for the meeting of the Institute on World Organization held in Washington this month. She was one of the sponsors of this meeting, which she attended.
I enjoy sightings of Ellen Deborah Ellis, who, like Alma, went to exotic places. I have given her space on the non-family South Hadley folks page even though I have no evidence that Alma even knew her, though of course she must have, given the small size of Mount Holyoke College.
