Kay Stokey and Nelle Echols Burks are followiing different paths in life, but they will always be dear friends.

MISS STOKEY GUEST OF MRS. BURKS

Miss Kathleen Stokey will arrive the first of the week to be the guest of Mrs. William Burks, Jr.  Miss Stokey lives in Atlanta and is a student at Radcliffe College.

Mrs. Burks will honor her guest at a party at 3:30 p.m. Friday at her home, 2155 South Eleventh Court.

Who was at the party for Kay?  Was there anybody there that Kay already knew?  Not that it mattered; Kay could have fun in a roomful of strangers.

This item isn't really relavant to the Five Stokey Siblings, but I like it, and anyway, I don't have many documents for 1939.  Maybe someday I'll have so many that I'll look at this page and wonder, "What was I thinking?"  But I doubt it.
