There is no envelope with this card, and no date on it. But Barbara labelled it as 1936, and grouped it with Alma's 1936-1937 India documents, so I imagine they were all grouped together physically. I have assigned it Christmas Day as a date, but I trust Professor Bower sent it out well before the 25th.
Professor Frederick Orpen Bower was an old friend - see:I'm wondering now if I should give him some individual space on this website, but I haven't figured out where that space would be. It can be hard to sort out all of Alma's friends and put them into neat little slots.
