Eva is moving around this summer.

Mrs. Eva Evans, sister of Miss Alma Stokey, left yesterday for Woods Hole after spending the past few weeks at the Faculty house.

This bit of information is more interesting that it initially seems, because we have a postcard and letter that Alma sent to Eva from Europe in June, on her way to India: So Alma was not in South Hadley when Eva was staying there. Eva was there for only a few days, because she was at home in Philadelphia when the Atlanta Stokeys passed through in early August on their way to Woods Hole - see:
I think that the main reason Eva went to South Hadley was to pick up Alma's car. In the two 1936 editions of the Fernbank News, a car being driven by Eva is mentioned, apparently named the Beagle - see:
I know that Alma had a car - see: ...and The Beagle doesn't seem like a name that Eva would give to a car - always assuming that the Beagle was indeed the name of the car, and that it was a reference to the ship that Charles Darwin voyaged on.
