HOME DEPT. TO HOLD ANNUAL DINNER AT CHURCH HALL FRIDAY
The annual dinner and entertainment of the Home Department of First Church school will be held in Church hall, Friday, Oct. 9, at 12.30 o’clock. Dean Florence Purington is superintendent of the department and will have charge of the gathering. Prof. Alma G. Stokey, who has spent two years in Idia, as teacher of Mt. Dr. Stokey was associated with Miss Edith Coon of Springfield, a Mt. Holyoke woman, who is vice-principal of the Woman’s College in India. Dr. Stokey’s brother, Fred A. Stokey, M. D., is a missionary physician in Africa. A special program has been arranged.

Dr. Stokey’s brother, Fred A. Stokey, M. D., is a missionary physician in Africa. A special program has been arranged.
Fred isn't a missionary in Africa anymore, and his middle initial is E, not A, but never mind, at least they knew that it was a vowel of some sort. Does this mean that Fred's going to be there, talking about Africa so that the First Church gets to learn about not just one but two continents?
