Fred and Sibyl had an issue with the Canadian Woman's Board for missions, but Sibyl is still promoting the idea of missions.

The autumn thankoffering meeting of Laidlaw Memorial W.M.S. was held on Wednesday, with a large attendance, the president, Mrs. Evans, presiding. Mrs. Matches gave an appropriate Bible reading. A very generous thankoffering was received and dedicated. Mrs. Hall sang sweetly and Mrs. Stokey, a medical missionary from Africa, gave an interesting and realistic account of her work in the hospital at Chisamba. The meeting was closed by Miss Mitchell. A social half-hour was spent.
