South Hadley, Feb. 27---The graduate council of the Mount Holyoke Alumnae association will hold its 10th annual meeting at the college Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The sessions are planned for the purpose of bringing together the widely scattered interests of Mount Holyoke alumnae and establishing a more direct relationship between them and the college. Composed of about 50 members, the council represents the alumnae at large as well as the various local associations.
The program will begin Thursday night with a meeting of the executive committee. On Friday, following the morning chapel service, there will be various committee meetings, a tour of the campus, and coffee in Hooker House attic. Roll call will be held at 11 o'clock, after which reports of officers and committees will be heard and nominations made for the alumnae members of the board of trustees of the college.
President Woolley will open the Friday afternoon session with an address of welcome. She will be followed by Miss C. Maud H. Lyles, director of the college press bureau, who will speak on "Problems in College Publicity." Prof Alma G. Stokey of the department of botany, will discuss "Science at Woods Hole," and Prof Samuel P. Hayes of the department of psychology, will tell of recent developments in psychology. The councilors will attend comedies of the English '26 playshop, which will be presented Friday night instead of Saturday as previously announced.
A discussion of citizenship will occupy the Saturday morning session, opened by M. Gertrude Brown, '24, chairman of the Mount Holyoke college community, speaking on "College Women as Citizens." Alumnae speakers will present views on citizenship, followed by a general discussion of the need and opportunities in typical communities for college women to play their part as citizens. Luncheon will be served at Hillside, and President Woolley will again speak on "Looking Forward."
