My dear Bobs,
I have made a further change in your Trust. Have sold 1000 Canada 5s @100 + bought 10 Shares $1000 Augusta Savannah Ry @98 - the latter is a short hire leased for a long term to the Central of Ga Ry on basis of paying 5% per ann + an taxes in Georgia + Income Tax before it can default the Central of Ga. The Illinois Central has to go. Smash. You made $20.00 difference in price plus July dividend equal $4.17 less $3.00 Brokerages.
The things I bought last are below purchase price, but they will right themselves ere long, particularly the seaboard which is doing well, in fact I have since bought $1000 L.A. I. for joint a/c with your mother.
I know you must be having an enjoyable time at the coast - I can picture the kids happiness and the foundation of health you are building up for them. I often try to imagine the future for or of Billie in particular - my heart is set upon him not perhaps more than the others but he seems to stand out as the ideal child in my mind - see that he is not spoiled in any way - his rather beautiful character will do much for his career.
I suppose you have been told that your four girl cousins in London are starting tomorrow on a trip to Norway: there will be much glee + laughter provided they escape mal de mer. My mental telescope sees them now enroute to Hull for departure from Immergen in a few hours time. It ought to do the Leigh branch much good - they are too repressed and don't know it - there will be some stone throwing some day between young children + their parents.
Please give my best regards to your host, whom I don't know in person + to her sister whom I do know provided she is with you + Mrs. Stokey likewise if she is of the party.
We are enjoying quite ideal weather, cool for the time of year tho hot enough to restrain mad ventures.

Interesting. Is this a real, legal Trust? Set up to avoid estate taxes, maybe? As for the rest of the paragraph, about stocks, I know nothing.

It strikes me odd to hear Cape Cod being referred to as "the coast". But I suppose it is indeed a coast.

The host is Alma - interesting that WJ has never met her. The sister is Eva who apparently was not in Woods Hole that summer. And Mrs. Stokey was Mama Margaret, whom the Farmers knew well when Will, Mama Margaret, and little Maggie were living in Savannah before Will and Kathleen were married.
