I received a letter I'm very anxious for you to see, but trust you will keep it on file for me, just in case I should wish to refer to it again.
I was quite satisfied with the reply from Mrs. Steele and feel that all things work together for good.
As far as I know now I'll be home Xmas afternoon, does that work in with your plans O.K. We'll have a nice little supper, Xmas tree, and games with the four boys and two girls, and we'll have a chance to talk things over Tues. morning. I'll have to come back Tues. night. I think I can make connections, for leaving Guelph at 8:30 P.M. Tues. night.
This letter will be short because I'm in a hurry to post it, before the mail-man passes. Heaps of love to every one. I had a letter from Brenda and Fred this week, and they want me to urge you to pay them a visit this winter while you are slack.
Bye to bye, looking forward to the home-going. xxxxxxxxx S. Hosking.
1. H.G.H. Dec. 13, 1922. 9 P.M. It looks like N.G.H. to me, but I think it must be H.G.H., because surely Sibyl was working at Hamilton General Hospital.

Here's a link to the letter from Mrs. Steele, which was in reply to a letter from Sibyl asking about opportunities to become a Presbyterian missionary to Africa.
In the letter, Mrs. Steele tells Sibyl that they've got all the missionaries to Africa that they need, but that the Congregationalists could use a few. I suspect that Sibyl's very religious parents might not have been too happy about the switch from Presbyterian to Congregational missionary work, and this letter from Sibyl sounds to me as though she's trying to forestall any explosions from her parents on the subject.
3. As far as I know now I'll be home Xmas afternoon, does that work in with your plans O.K. Christmas was on a Monday in 1922.
4. I had a letter from Brenda and Fred this week, and they want me to urge you to pay them a visit this winter while you are slack. I figure Fred is Sibyl's brother Fred. Mr. and Mrs. Hosking were farmers, so that winter would give them more free time.
