My dear Kathleen:
Very pleased to hear of the new arrival and to learn that both you and the son and heir are getting along so famously. I hope that my business will take me to Cincinnati before long, and then I’ll have an opportunity to see you again. I expect to have considerable travelling to do this year. I am going to Buffalo next week, and am scheduled to visit New York and Detroit later in the year.
Jessie and I are in the midst of a move. Our new address will be 620 Summerlea Street. Everyone has to move May 1st in Pittsburgh, which is an absurd arrangement, making it difficult for many people to secure moving vans.
Well, little sister, goodbye. With love to you, and the youngster, and my brother the Major.
Ever yours lovingly
Cecil
PS.
I expect Jessie will write soon but her work as a practitioner plus moving keeps her busy.
1. I hope that my business will take me to Cincinnati before long, and then I’ll have an opportunity to see you again. I expect to have considerable travelling to do this year. I am going to Buffalo next week, and am scheduled to visit New York and Detroit later in the year. I'd like to know more about what Cecil did for Westinghouse, but I doubt I'll ever find out. The traveling suggest that he was more than just an engineer, and given what a happy storyteller he seems to have been, this isn't surprising.

Everyone has to move May 1st in Pittsburgh, which is an absurd arrangement, making it difficult for many people to secure moving vans. It's true! Everybody had to move on May 1, and it wasn't just in Pittsburgh! Here's a fun blog post about it: historicaldilettante.blogspot.com/2021/05/may-day-story-about-work-worry-and.html
