M. A. C. Students Hold Dance.
AMHERST, Feb 20 --- The students of the Massachusetts Agricultural College held an informal dance this afternoon and evening in the drill hall. Supper was served in Draper Hall. The patronesses were Miss Alma G. Stokey of Mt. Holyoke College, Miss Mather of Smith College and Mrs. Curry S. Hicks and Mrs. Henry Fleet of Amherst. The committee in charge was Daniel J. Lewis of Hanson, Herbert H. Archibald of Waltham, William R. Sears of Woburn, William H. Hatfield of Wellesley, Willis H. Haskell Jr of Brooklyn, Frank A. Anderson of Somerville and Charles A. Huntington Jr of Poquonnock.

I figure the reason Alma had anything to do with a dance at the Massachusetts Agricultural College (which later became the University of Massachusetts Amherst) was that Fred's brother-in-law, Wilfred Woodside (brother of Mabel Woodside Stokey) was a student there. I don't know when Wilfred started going to MAC, but he was born in 1896, so he was probably there by 1915. And why else would Alma be involved with this dance?
