Now Mama Margaret is alone with baby Maggie in California because Will has gone back east for his latest Army assignment.

April 5th Saturday AM
Dear Will
I will just write the report to give to carrier. Today Margaret’s weight is 9 and 4 oz. Yesterday 9 3 ½ oz. I have not time for more. We are both well and happy.
Will write to Eva this P.M.

As usual Mama Margaret is careless about writing down the exact date, but the year must be 1913, because April 5, 1913 was a Saturday, and because in any succeeding year little Margaret would weigh much more.
