WILLIAMSON---HANBY----In Antioch, Cal., by the Rev. John Augustine Cull, pastor of the Richmond Congregational Church, San Francisco, Pumyea Williamson and Greyce Hanby.
1. I included the other marriages largely so that I could get the "MARRIED" part into the image, but I still enjoy looking at them. Note that the first bride was "Mrs. Lily Kevin." So what was the story with her previous husband? Also note that the Rev. Elbert R. Dille conducted two weddings (that we know of) in one day. He was a busy Reverend!
2. STOKEY---CLARKE----In this city, March 22, by the Rev. Samuel Quickmire of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, William Provines Stokey of Canton, Ohio, and Sarah Margaret Clarke of Los Angeles, Cal. The notices for the first three weddings went in only a couple of days after the wedding, but Will's and Margaret's was 15 days later. So they had their wedding, went to Del Monte for their honeymoon, came back to San Francisco and got set up with married life, and then finally got around to putting a notice in the paper.
It's interesting that Will listed himself as being from Canton. His mother and most of his siblings had left Canton years before. But, being in the Army, perhaps he felt he had no particular home other than his original one.
