I saw several water moccasins and killed one in the water with a revolver. Wasn't it good of me. With love, Will.

The postmark is for Lumber City, Georgia. I couldn't quite make out the Lumber part, but fortunately Will sent a postcard to Alma the same day that had a clearer postmark. See: There's more about Lumber City in the notes for that postcard.

I saw several water moccasins and killed one in the water with a revolver.
Four years before, Will was an expert rifleman at target practice in the Philippines see: Mama Margaret's reaction to this was: "What's a water moccasin?" - see:

My original thought upon reading this postcard was, "So Will got some time off and went to enjoy the countryside." Now, however, knowing more about what Will did, I think he was probably inspecting some sort of water issue for the Army in Lumber City...And then I found confirmation. See:
