Lt. Stokey Detailed for Survey Work.
First Lieut. William P. Stokey, Corps of Engineers, has been ordered to Cebu, for the purpose of making a new survey of the military reservation at that place. The detachment of enlisted men of the 3rd Battalion of Engineers, detailed to assist him in making the survey at Port San Pedro 22, will accompany Lieutenant Stokey to Cebu, for duty in connection with the new survey of the reservations at that station.

We don't have much outside documentation of Will's time in the Philippines. I like this item because it fits with Will's mention of the survey in a letter to Eva: I go to Cebu to make a survey before going back to Fort Wm. McKinley.
