Papa Charles is putting in extra hours as a teacher.

NIGHT SCHOOLS -- For the accommodation of those who cannot attend in daytime, will be opened on Monday evening the 17th inst. Geo W. Yohe will have charge of the west school, C. F. Stokey of the east, C. W. Chapman of the south, and Sam'l H. Rockhill of the southwest. The several schools will open at 7 p.m. and close at 9 o'clock.

It sounds as though these evening sessions will be held just the one Monday night, and not on succeeding Monday nights. It's very nice of the Canton school departmentment to do them, but how much can be accomplished in just two hours? Oh well, I guess it's better than nothing.
