These are the good old days. Papa Charles and Mama Margaret are approaching their third wedding anniversary. They are about to celebrate the second birthday of their son Will, and they have a four-and-a-half month old daughter, Alma, who is probably already showing signs of a vigorous personality. Papa Charles is a principal in the Canton school system. He may or may not have already been appointed as a government weather observer. The future looks bright and happy for the Stokey family.

ROLL OF HONOR
This is the only Roll of Honor item that I have come across from Papa Charles on newspapers.com. It seems as though it should have been a monthly thing, but either I'm wrong about or else maybe the other monthly items were formatted differently.

Special, ungraded - I don't know what that was about. When I googled on ungraded schools, it talked about one-room schoolhouses, but I doubt that that's what this was.
